The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced it will display an archive from his start under center last year, and Kendall Hinton went all-in to troll himself.
The COVID-19 pandemic impacted the schedule, the NFL got through the full 2020 season without losing any games. But perhaps the biggest “only this year” story game from the Denver Broncos in Week 12. With their entire quarterback room rendered unavailable by virus protocols, Kendall Hinton was forced to start under center against the New Orleans Saints.
Hinton started his college career at Wake Forest as a quarterback, before moving to wide receiver and topping 1,000 yards in 2019. The Broncos signed him as an undrafted free agent last year.
The game plan was as expected for the Broncos against the Saints. Hinton attempted just nine passes in the game, completing one for 13 yards along with two interceptions in a 31-3 loss.
Hinton got credit for being a good sport through that circumstance. The Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced his wristband from the game will go on display, as a unique artifact from the most unique of seasons.

Hinton may not become a Hall of Famer for his play when his career is over. But his tweet acknowledging the museum’s announcement they’ll display things from the 2020 season is Hall of Fame level.
Hinton is trying to stick with the Broncos again this year as a wide receiver. A deep depth chart at the position makes earning a 53-man roster spot a challenge. But he impressed the coaching staff during OTAs, and he should get plenty of chances to impress during camp and the preseason. If nothing else, he’ll be back on the Broncos’ practice squad if another team doesn’t snap him up.
Hinton is unlikely take any more regular-season snaps as a quarterback in the NFL. But he has embraced the memory of his moment from last year, the good and the bad.
