N’Keal Harry’s trade value revealed by ESPN Insider

New England Patriots wide receiver N’Keal Harry is expected to draw plenty of interest on the trade market, but how much is he worth?

N’Keal Harry has officially requested a trade from the New England Patriots. What could the team get in return?

The former first-round pick hasn’t exactly set the league on fire over the last two years, so his value appears relatively limited.

According to Jeremy Fowler, the Patriots shouldn’t expect to get more than a sixth-round pick out of him.

“Talked to league exec who estimates N’Keal Harry will be worth a conditional 6th Rd pick. Teams expected to have interest,” Fowler tweeted. “Harry will be looking for offense to utilize as contested catch guy, size and strength in red zone and deep. Speed-and-precision offense probably not for him.”

The Patriots won’t get much for trading N’Keal Harry

Harry was a beast in college, hauling in 213 catches for 2,889 yards and 22 touchdowns over three years at ASU. His final two seasons were each 1,000-yard campaigns.

However, Harry’s impact at the NFL level has been far less than expected. He spent part of his rookie season injured, managing just 12 catches for 105 yards in seven games, including five starts.

In 2020, the second-year receiver started nine games and appeared in 14. He managed 33 receptions for 309 yards.

Critically, Harry has struggled with efficiency. His career catch rate is 55.6 percent. The quarterback passer rating when targeting Harry was the lowest among starting reivers on the team at 70.0.

Now that he’s asked for a trade, it’s a question of perception. Have Harry’s collegiate skills simply failed to translate? Or have the Patriots failed to put him in a position to succeed.

Some team out there will likely take the chance on him and his 6-foot-4 frame.
