The NFL schedule is out, so let’s take a look at the biggest game for all 32 teams in 2021.

It feels like just yesterday that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won their second Super Bowl with a win over the Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium, but we aren’t that far from starting the whole NFL journey all over again. The NFL has officially released its 2021 regular-season schedule and it’s bigger thanks to the addition of a 17th game to the mix.

The full 272-game slate has plenty of important games, especially for the Super Bowl hopefuls, but not all games are created equal. Let’s look at the biggest game each team will face on the 2021 NFL Schedule, starting with the AFC East.

Biggest games on the 2021 NFL schedule for each team

AFC East

Buffalo Bills – At Kansas City Chiefs

The rematch of the AFC Championship Game is an important one for the Bills, who got swept by the Chiefs in two meetings a year ago. Buffalo is one of the biggest challengers to Kansas City in the AFC but losing for a third straight time to the Chiefs could create a significant mental hurdle for the Bills to overcome.

Miami Dolphins – Vs. Buffalo Bills

Brian Flores has done a good job turning the Dolphins from a dumpster fire into a playoff contender, but the best chance for Miami to pick up a playoff win is to win its division. That means going through the Bills, who swept the Dolphins a year ago, including a Week 17 blowout that knocked Miami out of the playoffs.

New England Patriots – Vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

There may not be many games on the NFL schedule that are more anticipated than seeing Tom Brady return to Gillette Stadium as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. New England tried to reload on the fly with a big offseason spending spree and Bill Belichick would love nothing more than to find a way to knock off Brady’s new team.

New York Jets – Vs. New England Patriots

The Jets are on the way back up after bottoming out after a 2-14 campaign in 2020 but there is still a lot of work to do before they are in the playoff hunt. Finding a way to beat New England, which has owned New York for years, would be a good sign that Robert Saleh’s team is heading in the right direction.
