Aaron Rodgers reportedly wants out from the Green Bay Packers, and sources tell FanSided that trade talks are ongoing with the San Francisco 49ers ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft
It isn’t often that the reigning NFL MVP is available via trade, but that appears to be the case as Aaron Rodgers is reportedly disgruntled with the Green Bay Packers and wants out.
Multiple league sources tell FanSided that the trade market for Rodgers would be strong, with several teams willing to pay a premium for the 37-year-old quarterback who remains in the prime of his career.
Rodgers is coming off back-to-back NFC Championship Game appearances, and passed for 4,299 yards with a career high 48 touchdowns to just five interceptions last season.

As FanSided reported Thursday afternoon, trade talks between the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers remain ongoing.
San Francisco is a destination that Rodgers would welcome, in part because it would be a return to his home state of California and the chance to land with an NFC contender.
However, the 49ers might not be the team best positioned to land Rodgers, given that general manager John Lynch previously traded San Francisco’s first-round draft choices in 2022 and 2023 to move up to the No. 3 overall pick in Thursday night’s draft.
There would be some irony, though, if the Packers moved up to the No. 3 overall pick in a Rodgers trade as it would position Green Bay to add LSU playmaking wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase or Florida tight end Kyle Pitts — viewed by many inside the NFL as the premier prospect in this year’s class, to pair with second-year quarterback Jordan Love.
Chase and Pitts are exactly the type of players Rodgers has been clamoring for for the past several offseasons, leading to this situation coming to a head. Meanwhile, Aiyuk comes with an added year of team control, as a former first-round pick, and caught 60 passes for 748 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie last season.
