Patrick Mahomes trolls himself over awful pitching at Texas Tech (Video)

Kansas City Chiefs, NFL Playoffs

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes may be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, but his pitching skills are nothing to brag about.

Patrick Mahomes is living on cloud nine right now. The superstar quarterback already has a Super Bowl ring to his name and he’ll try to bring home No. 2 this weekend when Kansas City takes on Tampa Bay and Tom Brady.

With that being said, believe it or not, Mahomes is not perfect. He reminded us of that on Wednesday when he was randomly asked about his college days at Texas Tech. In case you didn’t know, Mahomes was also on the baseball team. However, his debut on the bump was nothing to write home about.

Patrick Mahomes pitching stats with Texas Tech were downright horrendous

Oh, Mr. Mahomes. His debut surely was one to forget, as he couldn’t even get out of the inning and was yanked after not even recording a single out. Him saying he probably holds an ‘infinity’ ERA probably isn’t too far off.

Fortunately for Mahomes, his poor performance on the bump for Texas Tech hasn’t had a negative impact on his post-college life. He’s been able to find seasonal work in Kansas City that pays him an average of $50 million annually.

In all seriousness, what Mahomes has been able to do early on in his career for the Chiefs has been remarkable. In the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills, Mahomes was once again fantastic, throwing for 325 yards and three touchdowns.

In just his third year starting in the league, Mahomes is getting ready to bring home his second Lombardi Trophy. All eyes will be on the superstar signal-caller to see if he and Kansas City can deny Brady of his seventh Super Bowl title.
