Eric Kendricks ruled out after hurting calf in warm-ups (Video)

The Minnesota Vikings are battling some early adversity against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to an injury to linebacker Eric Kendricks.

Things have already gotten off to a bit of a rough start for the Minnesota Vikings against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Before the teams were even able to get things going, Minnesota saw star linebacker Eric Kendricks injure himself during warm-ups.

As you can see in the video below, Kendricks was going through things like normal, but one step didn’t go as planned. Because of that, he immediately winced in pain with a calf injury. Already, the Vikings have ruled him out for Sunday’s showdown with Jacksonville.

Eric Kendricks being ruled out for the game against Jacksonville is rough news

You’ve got to feel bad for Kendricks, who was ready to make some plays against Jacksonville, a team which has last 10 consecutive games after taking down the Colts in Week 1. The 232-pound Kendricks is in the middle of another strong year for the Vikings, as he entered Sunday with 69 total tackles.

However, in the blink of an eye, his day is done. To make things worse for Minnesota, Jacksonville jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead, leaving Minnesota a bit stunned to start things off. The Vikings have been playing sensational football in recent weeks and are back in the postseason hunt with their 5-6 record.

While the Jags are up early on, Minnesota is the better team and will look to get back to .500. Should they end up coming out on top, they’ll have to do so with Kendricks watching from the sidelines.
