Per a report, Andy Dalton is set to take on the Vikings Sunday despite not being fully recovered from the coronavirus.
After missing the last two games, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton is all set to get back on the field to try and help the team earn its third win of the season. However, stunning news has be reported leading up to kickoff, as it appears Dalton still hasn’t fully recovered from the coronavirus.
Per NFL insider Tom Pelissero, Dalton still hasn’t been able to regain his sense of smell or sense of taste. Yet, Dallas is still ready to let him jog out onto the field to take on the Vikings and their ferocious front seven?

The fact that Dalton still hasn’t fully recovered and the Cowboys are still playing him is a bit concerning. While the symptoms Dalton is experiencing are reportedly normal after suffering from the virus, and then testing negative for it, if he isn’t back to 100 percent, why the rush to get him back on the field?
For the Cowboys, it’s clear Ben DiNucci and Garrett Gilbert aren’t the answer under center, which is why Dallas surely is happy to have Dalton back on the field. They’ll need him to have a strong game in order for the Cowboys to potentially pull off an upset against Minnesota.
Dalton was able to practice this week and hasn’t shown any negative signs from being out the past two weeks. At the same time, it’s clear he’s still not all the way back to his normal self. While he’s tested negative for the virus, he’s still working his way to battle back from everything. We’ll see on Sunday against the Vikes if Dallas made the right or wrong call in bringing him back so soon.
