Ezekiel Elliott pulls no punches speaking on state of Cowboys

Ezekiel Elliott is ready to do anything he can to try and help the Cowboys stop their losing streak and get a much-needed win.

In what was supposed to be a promising year for the Dallas Cowboys, the exact opposite has been the case in Mike McCarthy’s first season as head coach. With Dak Prescott suffering his fractured ankle, everyone knew Dallas would struggle the rest of the way. Did anyone expect the Cowboys to be 2-7 through nine games? Absolutely not.

All the losses are starting to take its toll on the players inside the locker room, including superstar running back Ezekiel Elliott. The speedster didn’t mince words when asked about how he feels with the team in the middle of such a rough stretch.

Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys are tired of losing football games

After starting the season 2-3, Dallas has since lost four consecutive contests. Perhaps even more incredible, they’re still in the NFC East hunt, with the Eagles in first place at 3-5-1. The NFC East as a whole has without question been the worst division in the league.

Regardless of that, Dallas is hoping they can put an end to the madness and earn its third win of the campaign. They’ll have the opportunity to accomplish that goal this weekend, as the team will head to Minnesota to take on the 4-5 Vikings.

The good news for Dallas is that Andy Dalton, who missed multiple games with a concussion and was also placed on the COVID-19/Reserve list, is all set to return this weekend to start under center. With Dalton in the fold, it should help the offense spread the ball out a little bit, which of course will help Elliott and the run game.

We’ll see this Sunday if Elliott and the Cowboys can get back to their winning ways.
